THE DOWNTON MOOT PRESERVATION TRUST 

            NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the twenty-ninth AGM of the Downton Moot Preservation Trust will be held in the Stables Room at the White Horse, Downton at 7.30PM on Tuesday 17th October 2017, when the following business will be transacted:-

1. To Approve the Annual Report and Accounts for the year ending 5th April 2017.

2.  Election of Trustees

Trustees who have retired by rotation are Ms S.Barnhurst-Davies, Mr A. Bushby, Mr K. Denham, Mr R. Greville-Heygate and Mr D. Webber.  All of the above, being eligible,  offer themselves for re-election.

The meeting should note that Mrs A Tattersall has resigned as a trustee.

Mr G. Syrett has been proposed as a new Trustee.  The proposers are Mr R Greville-Heygate and Mr C. Greville-Heygate.

Other candidates for election as trustees must be proposed by a member of the Company who has, not more than 28 and not less than 4 clear days before the meeting, given notice to the Company Secretary of their intention to propose the candidate at the meeting together with a signed notice by the candidate of their willingness to be elected.

3. Election of a Chairman of Trustees (Trustees only may vote).

4. Re-appointment of Auditors

To re-appoint Fletcher & Partners as Auditors.

5. Any Other Business

The AGM of the Downton Moot Preservation Trust Ltd meeting will be followed by the AGM of the Friends of Downton Moot.

After the formal business there will be a short presentation on the work of the Moot Charitable Trust.
