THE DOWNTON MOOT PRESERVATION TRUST

NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the twenty-eighth Annual General Meeting of the Downton Moot Preservation Trust will be held in the Stables Room at the White Horse, Downton at 7.30PM on Thursday 20th October 2016, when the following business will be transacted:-

1. To Approve the Annual Report and Accounts for the year ending 5th April 2016.

2.  Election of Trustees

Trustees who will retire by rotation are Ms C. Freemantle, Mr C. Bird, Mr J. Frankfort and Mrs L. Bates. Mr Frankfort and Mrs Bates are not seeking re-election.  Ms Freemantle and Mr Bird, being eligible, offer themselves for re-election.

Other candidates for election as trustees must be proposed by a member of the Company who has, not more than 28 and not less than 4 clear days before the meeting, given notice to the Company Secretary of their intention to propose the candidate at the meeting together with a signed notice by the candidate of their willingness to be elected.

3. Any Other Business

After the formal business there will be a short report by the Vice-Chairman and a brief presentation by Mr M White.

Members of the Public are welcome to attend the Annual General Meeting but will not be entitled to vote. The meeting will be followed by the Annual General Meeting of the Friends of Downton Moot.
